He says, "In Canada we have so many illegal Aliens that we don't have to drink with the same ones twice." April 27 A Win Ok thats better!!!!!!! The boys won tonite in winnipeg to win the Anavet Cup and move on to nationals in Ontario in a weeks time. The final score in the game was 5-2. I checked the rankings today and the Terriers are now ranked #1 in the nation.
It was a beautiful day and i played golf this evening. Plans are to play golf tomorrow afternoon and again on the weekend.
Our kids are home from college now and things are very active here. (nice). I heard on the radio today that the lake water level has risen over 3 feet this spring and is still rising. My boat lift is in 2 feet of water now and i wont have to move it out any to put my boat on it. LOL. Im sorry i havent had much time to visit my friends on msn but i have not forgotten you. Just been so busy !!!! Well its time for bed and i need some rest. C-Ya
April 26 A Loss Well it was bound to happen the Winnipeg South Blues won tonite in overtime agains our boys. Next game is tomorrow nite. ..... Ohh the score was 3-2. Series is now 3 games to 1.

The score tonite was 5-2 and gives us a 3 game to 0 lead in the series.
I have been driving the SS quit abit lately and im really enjoying the ride and power. The weather has been great and the forcast is for more of the same.
Carol and i made a trip to the lake this morning and the lake is up as high as i have ever seen it. I heard that the DNR have opened the control gates and are letting some water out so cottages wont get flooded. We can try and control nature but she always has her way. lol.
Work is getting really busy and im going to have to start saying "no" to some jobs. I guess there is no middle ground on this one. Heyyy humpday tomorrow. Look for a new joke then. Before i go..... " Four Important Words In Life"

Wow that was a good one. The game last nite went into double overtime before our guys scored to win by a score of 2-1. Both teams played well and the rink was sold out so the cheering and horns were deafing at times lol.
Woke up this morning to a sunny day and no wind. We have a 9:30 tee time at the golf course and im looking forwards to playing this morning. The forcast is for cooler temps tomorrow and some rain as well.
We went out to the cottage yesterday and had to make a detour to get there. The river has overflown its banks and the bridge is underwater.We had to go around to another bridge to get to the lake. I tried to get there on a gravel road put came to a area the was washed out and had to turn around and go back to a highway. Water is everywhere, our cottage is fine but the golfcourse out there is 1/2 underwater. They have pumps going and were digging up some of the roads to let more water run out. The level of the lake is up quit a bit already and is going to rise even more. My boat lift that we leave on shore for the winter is in about 2 feet of water now. I wont have to move it to far this summer to put my boat on it lol.

Have a great weekend i know i will....lol April 21 Hockey Draft Tonite was our hockey draft with 20 teams entering. Im now cheering for Philadelphia. Just the way the picks went. You never get the players you would like.
Tomorrow nite our home team start their playoffs with the Manitoba Champs. Games are here tomorrow and Saturday with games in Winnipeg on tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday. If it goes to game 6 and 7 they will be back here on Saturday and Sunday. Go Terriers Go. If our team wins the series they will play in the national chanpionship next month.
It was warm again today and i hope to golf tomorrow afternoon. Weather is to be in the 20s again and sunny. I managed to get to the range after work and hit a few balls before the NHL Draft started.
Went to the lake today to check on the cottage and found the lake has risen quit a bit over the last few weeks. Water is covering some of the golf course there and the owners have set up pumps to remove some of the water. The lake level will be backup to where it was a few years ago. I spent a few minutes sitting on the deck just to listen to the birds and smell the air. Gees it smells so fresh and clean.
Better go and get some sleep.....busy day tomorrow/
April 19 Can you feel this????mmmmmmm An Illinois man left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel in Florida, he decided to send his wife a quick e-mail. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her e-mail address, he did his best to type it in from memory. Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife whose husband had passed away only the day before.
When the grieving widow checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

Ok thats my joke for today. Warming up today so thats good news. Went to the gym this afternoon and had a good workout. Im spending more time on the treadmill which is good except i suffer for it when i try and get some sleep. Recieved a call from my disability insurance lady today saying that im not covered before my surgery but will be covered after i have the operation. I will try and explain how it works. I have what she called partial disability coverage which is good for 6 months from the day i became partically disabled. Ok so when was that ???? Was it when i could only do 75% of my work??? 50% or was it when i was only able to do 25% of my work?? She says i had 90 days from when i became partially disabled to apply ???? And I say when was that???? She says thats our policy. Ok so they have that covered so im entitled to nothing tell im totally disabled. She tells me that i have total disablity coverage that will be in effect for up to 5 years after surgery....hope that doesnt happen.Fine so after i start going back to work ill qualify for partial disablity. Heyyy the way i look at it is after paying for the policy for 25 years i think they can affort to pay back some of my money.LOL. As it is now its only going to be 1800 a month anyway, so not a big deal. Ok time for me to do some evening bookwork....Take care. :)
April 18 Snow More Snow and........ yup MORE SNOW!!! This morning when i got up it was raining. By the time i left for work it had started to snow. At 7 pm this evening its still snowing. its the really heavy wet kind that bends the branches on trees and makes driving dangerous. The forcast is for snow tonite and clearing off tomorrow with temps getting back up to normal.
Thats it i give up on " Filelodge" it has stopped playing my songs now and i fedup. So no music on my space for a while tell i find a better server that will work on msn spaces.

Cool Monday Monday started of being nice and warm but as the day went on the wind came up and the temp went down. It could snow tonite or freezing rain. When this weather system passes by the temps are to rise again to be in the +18c range by friday.
My trip to the gym went well today except it was very busy. With the gym being closed 2 out of the last 3 days alot of people were keen to get back to their workouts. Worked on my legs today and did 35 minutes on the treadmill. I expect to have some problems sleeping tonite but thats becoming normal for me. This damn hip is such a pain...lol yea right. Anyway today i was busy with estimates and billing out jobs that are completed. Made it to the gym at 3:00 pm and got home at 5:30 pm. Ohhh yea i also bid on 3 jobs and got all 3 .....guess its time i raised my prices.

Not with studs ......just tongue and grove. April 16 Easter Sunday What a great weekend. Kids were home for a few days,weather was sunny and hot. I got to golf 3 days in a row and just relaxed most of the time. I found a couple of interesting blogs and visited some of my blog friends spaces. Carol made a wonderful supper this evening: Turkey,dressing and gravey,mashed
potatoes,corn, 2 salades,homemade buns,sweet pickels and for dessert she made Lemon cream cheese pie. To say that im full.......would be correct..burp LOL.
Tomorrow Carol and i plan on going back to the gym. I have missed 3 days now and i need my workouts. Our gym was closed on friday and Today. I was able to walk 9 holes on friday and as well today. I hope to workout at least 3 or 4 days in a row this week. It seem like the gym is becoming more a part of my life as each day goes by.
There are a few pics added to my photos today. Some of carol and i goofing off showing some muscle lol. She is showing a great bycep. Im glad she is feeling better today, she was coming down with a sorethroat and a cough.
I spent a hour in the store today going through the books. As of today the sales for the year so far are up almost 20%. I suspect that the warm winter and the fact that one of our competitors closed up in fall has a lot to do with the upside to sale. If the summer is anything like the winter we should set all time records for the year.
With our trip scheduled for the 3rd of May ill have to get things in order so my guys have work to do while im gone. Let me see ...they can do the Provincial Park Showers, the Hospital Emergency renovation, the Condos at Good Spirit, the Floors at Everlast and at Popowich Milling,the windows at Webers Furniture, and the trims at SaskEnergy mmmmm guess that will keep them busy for a few day lol. Im sure there will be other work to do as well before we leave.
GoodNite now .....i have played myself out just thinking about work lol.

Girls Night OutTwo women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home.
The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said:

I hope this clears up any confusion on the subject. April 13 Long Weekend Today went as planned, worked the morning and spent time at the gym in the afternoon. This evening Carol and i went to our bowling windup. Some fun bowling and fellowship.As we finished our bowling games i sat there thinking about when or if i will bowl again after my surgery??? Im sure that i will but just makes you wonder if it could be your last..."Strange thought for me"...
I bought a new driver from our pro today. Now its not like my old one wasnt good, just a new model that cant hurt lol. Our course will open tomorrow and im looking forwards to playing again...especially becouse my season may be cut short. A couple of my friends and i are going to haul our golf carts to the course in the morning and plans are to play in the afternoon if the weather is nice. The forcast for tomorrow is a chance of rain with the temps reaching into the 20s c. or low 70s for my american friends :)
I have to mention that Carol's bowling team won our league title.We finished a distant forth.
This long weekend will be enjoyable for carol and i as our kids will again awaken this old house with their voices and laughter. Also i think a turkey may pay the price ....to celebrating this holiday.

April 12 Trip PLans Well today i booked our flight on a seat sale with West Jet to Kelowna,BC for the 3rd of May. Will spend 5 days there just golfing and networking with some of the ICI staff. Im looking forwards to seeing a few old friends there that i have not seen in a couple of years. If things go as planned we will drive from Kelowna to Vancover on sunday or monday and spent a few days there with the president of General Paint. He has invited us to join him for a couple of rounds of golf and to view the Paint factory. It should be interesting to see exactly how raw materials are added together to form a certain product. This trip doesnt have a return date, it will just have to be a wait and see. The air fare to fly out is only $88.00 + 42.00 in taxes and fees. I checked on a return ticket that is not going to be on a seat sale. Ouch.... will cost in the range of 400.00 +....they wont get me coming but they sure will when i go. LOL.
Yes our team won last nite and now will play the Winnipeg South Blues in the Anevet Cup. The first games will be played here on April 21 and 22. April 11 MY Day HI....today was a busy day for me. I had to work a few jobs today to keep all my customers happy. Counting....5 jobs in all. I better hire more help soon or ill get behind in my schedule. The girls at the store want to hire more help for the summer as well. I didnt have time to go to the gym during the day so i went this evening. After supper i went to the range and hit a bucket of balls and then went to the gym for my workout. This was the first time i have gone to the gym in the evening and it wasnt that bad. It was a little busier this evening then when i usually go to the gym which is 2:30. There was a totally different group of people working out this evening. More weight lifters and hardcore workout fanatics. lol. and me. I now think that if i cant get away during the day i can always go after supper and get my workout in.
Im sitting here listening to our hockey team on the radio. They are playing in game 5 up in North Battleford. Our team won both games at home this weekend and are leading the series 3 games to one. The game is tied 1-1 in the third period. If they win tonite the series is over and they will have won the league finals. YEAAAA we just scored to go up 2-1.
If we win,the team will play the Manitoba league Champs. 5:54 left in the game.lol.
I will update the results of the game in my next entery. Im tired and will go and get ready for bed and listen to the last few minutes of the game.
